![]() ![]() I'd try Studio One, Cubase, or even Logic. I'd urge you to give a modern full featured DAW a go for a few weeks just to see. These improvements have actually allowed me to go places musically and production-wise that I'd never even considered on AA3. Things you didn't really know you needed until you go back and they're not there. Performance aside, DAWs have come a long way in the last 15 years and have seen massive advances in terms of work flow and organization, quality of life features, plugin support, and sequencer quality. I still have AA3 installed in case I want to transfer over some old legacy stuff, but I would never consider going back for any reason now. I’ve tried a week or two to go back and use Cool Edit 2.1 (it’s what I used when I first started working in audio) but it. Ultimately I wound up hitting performance walls due to it not being very well optimized for multi core cpus and switched to Studio One as part of an interface bundle. I know this isn't what you're asking for but this post struck a chord because I used AA3 for like 5 years and recorded a lot of stuff with it.
